Most learners begin with Self and Others (Module One). It provides the foundation for negotiation, mediation, and peacebuilding.
CIIAN’s Mediation Program provides a pathway towards professional recognition through the International Mediation Institute (IMI).
Graduates who successfully complete the program earn CIIAN’s Certificate in Mediation. Those wishing to pursue IMI Qualified Mediator status must meet additional practical assessment and IMI registration requirements.
CIIAN’s Registered Practitioner in Dispute Resolution (RPDR) recognises professionals who help others manage and resolve disputes. This includes mediators, but also people working in HR, workplace conflict resolution, facilitation, and other related fields. Applicants must meet separate training, experience, and assessment requirements.
The International Mediation Institute (IMI), on the other hand, offers designations specifically for mediators. IMI Qualified Mediator is an entry-level professional recognition pathway involving approved training and assessment, while IMI Certified Mediator is intended for experienced practitioners who meet further practice and assessment requirements.

We offer both. Learning Module One and the Negotiation Program are entirely online and self-paced, allowing participants to learn on their own schedules. Our Mediation Program combines independent online learning with scheduled live sessions, while programs such as Conflict Triage include interactive instructor-led training.
