CIIAN’s International Program integrates innovative processes, techniques and research into the practice of peacebuilding, conflict prevention and conflict resolution.
CIIAN’s international capacity exists at two levels. Our experience is in working on conflict at both the process and content levels.
In the first instance, the Institute intervenes directly in conflicts through the design and/or facilitation of consensus-building and inclusive participatory approaches to conflict, and builds capacity in conflict competencies. This represents CIIAN’s service delivery work.
Secondly, through partnerships or by consulting to other organizations (e.g. development NGOs), CIIAN brings a conflict lens to the peacebuilding efforts and/or development work of these organizations. This constitutes our programming and analytical work.
