To equip-support-empower individuals, all organizations and all forms and levels of governments (Indigenous, Domestic and International) to prevent and/or resolve human rights conflicts within their respective environments.

Equip

 CIIAN’s Human Rights Branch offers training suitable for individuals or groups who need assistance in conflict resolution and mediation within their respective environments.  Some workshop topics include: cultural sensitivity, harassment, investigation of human rights violations, discrimination and inclusivity.   Contact us to discuss your training needs.

Hire a human rights and conflict resolution expert to analyze and evaluate your organization’s human rights policies, conflict resolution processes, grievances processes, diversity, equity and inclusion policies and processes. This expert analysis report will help to identify your organization's strengths and weaknesses in regards to the areas above. This will inform the needs-based services required by your organization in order to align your human rights obligations.

Access a human rights expert coach on a needs basis to assist, provide advice and equip you in developing your human rights conflict resolution skills, human rights policies, or to navigate human rights disputes within your organization.

Peace Processes: CIIAN’s Human Rights Branch provides support to all stages of peace processes including the design and integration of human rights frameworks and provisions that are sensitive to the balance of justice and accountability within the conflict resolution process.  

Investigations:  As a trusted neutral, CIIAN’s Human Rights Branch provides investigations into human rights violations with consideration of both international and regional instruments.

Receive a customized package including training, coaching, and mentoring leaders to establish a human rights conflict prevention and resolution system within your organization.

Receive expert human rights-based advice from human rights judges/adjudicators on your case’s strengths and weaknesses in order to provide an informed and objective assessment of your case. This is very helpful to assist the parties in resolving the dispute and/or to make an adequate decision on next steps.
